EXCLUSIVE: Interview With Madison Paris

Madison Paris is an exciting talent who has recently released her brand new single ‘Oh Mama’. The rising star has also announced that her debut EP ‘Colours’ will be dropping at the end of this month.

Here we speak exclusively to Madison Paris to discuss her new music, musical inspirations, long term goals and more:

Growing up who inspired your love of music?

I have quite a musical family so I would definitely say they played a part in it. A lot of my uncles play guitar, steel-pan and other instruments so the musical influence was always there from a young age!   

Who are your all time musical heroes? 

Destiny’s Child has to be up there, I loved them growing up and Aaliyah of course! I’ve also been a Drake fan from the very beginning! Then more recently Jhene Aiko, Daniel Caeser and Nao. 

When did you decide to pursue music as a career? 

It’s always been something I’ve known I was going to do but last summer I really starting taking it seriously. I’m happy with the progress so far! 

Can you recall your first live performance? 

Yes, it was last November at my friends event called RCRD SHOP. It’s ran by a guy called Jay Wilcox who is an unreal producer/MD. It’s with the most amazing live band. Hearing your songs recreated live is amazing!  

What’s your earliest musical memory? 

Playing Nancy in year four in my school play of Oliver. It was my first time singing in front of an audience and I loved it! 

How would you describe the overall vibe of your music? 

Right now I’m just trying to have fun with it and make music I like. It’s never forced but I would say everything I do is always rooted and influenced by RnB – just my take on it I guess! 

What can listeners expect from your latest release?  

A fun, vibey, summer song!  

What are your long term career goals? 

I would love to go on a European and even worldwide tour one day. I think that’s the dream, being able to experience new cities and cultures while doing what you love would be amazing!
