Drew Barrymore Reveals That She Changed Her Mind About Her Daughters Joining The Entertainment Busin

According to a report from Entertainment Tonight, Drew Barrymore changed her mind regarding her children’s decision to get into the entertainment business.

This Friday, Drew stopped by the Today show and revealed her two daughters, Frankie and Olive – who are 5 and 7 – are interested in getting into performing. Initially, she really didn’t like the idea of her kids getting into the acting business, however, as they’ve gotten older, she realized that maybe it isn’t so bad after all.

Barrymore stated that when she first had her children, she was preoccupied with the idea of keeping her kids away from the acting business. However, after some careful consideration, the star realized she and her children are Barrymores, and her family has been in the industry for hundreds of years.

Drew, who had her two kids with Will Kopelman, stated what she “really wanted for them was something very normal and traditional and safe,” on account of the fact she was never given the same childhood. The star said she can’t deny that her children love entertaining.

“My girls, they love to perform,” the Charlie’s Angels alum added. With that said, however, if the Hollywood career doesn’t work out in the way they planned, her daughter has a backup plan – in fact, three of them. Barrymore claimed her daughter, Olive, loves to design things, although, she tends to lose interest quickly. She wants to be a veterinarian and a cop too.

Barrymore said last December that despite her divorce with Will Kopelman, she and her ex-husband are doing great because their daughters are their world. In her #TheWayItLooksToUs series, the actress explained she and Will are looking forward to living the rest of their lives with their two daughters as their number one priority.

As fans of the actress know, she has starred in many films over the last three decades, including Scream, Boys On The Side, Never Been Kissed, Poison Ivy, Mad Love, Ever After, as well as The Wedding Singer, among many others.
